Planning:
Hundreds of flats in large tower blocks could be built in Slough High Street, if a planning application submitted this week is approved by the council.
The plans, which appear in the public notices as a ‘major development’, include 274 studio units as well as spaces allocated for community and retail use at 204-208 High Street.
The three tower blocks would range in height from four to 15 storeys, and would be ‘purpose-built key worker shared living accommodation’.
Existing buildings at the site face demolition as part of the redevelopment, the application said.
Further details were unavailable on Slough Borough Council’s planning portal at the time of publication.
Road Closures
Residents have been warned of upcoming road closures in this week’s public notices.
