Morgan shines for Sonning Common and Peppard

SONNING Common and Peppard A won a tough Reading and District League Division 1 contest against Tilehurst RBL A 8-2 thanks to trebles from Gary Morgan and Ed Lush alongside a double from Ian Cole. Morgan won a vital opener against Keith Winter 12-10, 11-13, 11-4, 12-10.

In Division 2, Sonning Common and Peppard B managed a 5-5 draw at OLOP D, Danny Dockree starring with a treble while there were two good wins from Jon Abbott. Jim Warren managed a 14-12, 7-11, 6-11, 11-9, 11-8 win against Wendy Porter as Sonning Common and Peppard C fell to an 8-2 defeat at Tilehurst RBL B.

Gerry Bacon won twice in Sonning Common and Peppard D’s 8-2 defeat to promotion chasers OLOP E in Division 3. Bacon beat Patrick Mcintosh 7-11,
15-13, 6-11, 11-8, 11-2. In Division 4, Sonning Common and Peppard E beat Kingfisher I 6-4.
