Photojournalism, sport, fine art: Star talent comes to Maidenhead Camera Club

Maidenhead Camera Club is zooming in on its new season with a programme of notable guest speakers – including exhibitors celebrated around the world.

The 80-member-strong club’s new season starts on Tuesday, September 2 and will see the world-renowned Martin Parr as a speaker on October 21.

Some other speaker highlights:

  • Jonathan Knowles – ranked as the world’s best still life photographer by One Eyeland
  • Pal Hansen – photographer of Elton John, Danny Devito, Nicole Kidman, Eric Cantona, Joan Collins and many others
  • Karen Knorr – exhibits her fine art photographer around the world
  • Tom Jenkins – sports photographer for the Guardian newspaper
  • David Burnett – American photographer of every US President since JFK
  • Arthur Edwards – recent winner of a lifetime achievement award for being the Royal photographer for the Sun newspaper for 50 years.

The club also offers teaching in basic to advanced techniques, competitions for all levels, and many photography trips and outings.

The first opening meeting is at 7.45pm on September 2 at Cox Green Community Centre. No expensive kit is required to join in.
