A new Card Factory shop looks set to move into the newly transformed former Poundland store in Maidenhead High Street.
Poundland closed its doors at 88-90 High Street in October last year and since then, the site has been under development. Hoardings on the shopfront outlined plans to create six apartments and three new commercial units for 88 High Street, 90 High Street and West Street.
In April, a planning application, submitted by Sorbon Estates, which is part of the Shanly Group, looked to re-develop the site into flats and commercial space, was approved.
Work to re-develop the site has been underway since last year.
An application has now been submitted to the Royal Borough seeking permission to display two Card Factory signs on the shopfront at 88-90 High Street.
There is currently a Card Factory shop inside the Nicholsons Centre.
Demolition work on the shopping centre could start early next year if a major regeneration of the site is approved. Card Factory has been contacted for further comment.
The full application can be viewed using reference 25/02134/ADV into the Royal Borough planning portal.
