Families enjoyed a spook-tacular morning of pumpkin carving in the Nicholsons Centre, ahead of Halloween at the end of last month.

The much-loved free annual event on Thursday, October 30, brought together dozens of local families for three hours of creative and messy fun.

Around 100 pumpkins were donated for carving by Richard at Maidenhead Fruits.

Youngsters scooped and decorated their creations under the supervision of adults at the event.

Pumpkin carving takes place each year during the October half term and is organised by Make Maidenhead with the support of the Craft Coop CIC and Nicholsons Centre teams.

Heidi Berry, director at Craft Coop CIC, said: “The session is designed to encourage family creativity and community connection in the heart of Maidenhead.”
